Pre-School activities are planned from the seven areas of learning from the Early Year’s Foundation Stage. These are Personal, Social and Emotional development, Communication and Language development, Physical Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding and the World and Expressive Arts and Design.
Activities/Learning experiences are planned in response to a child’s interests, both at Pre-School and from home. Activities are tailored to meet individual children’s age and stage of development and will encourage and develop the next steps into each child’s learning journey.
Children engage in both adult led and child initiated activities in both large and small groups in our indoor and outdoor environments.
Children independently choose and engage from the variety of toys and resources on offer. Some of these are arts and crafts, music and movement, imaginative role play, cooking and baking, construction play, small world and outdoor physical activities.
